A Message from The President

By: Bill Rouse, CEO, LA Yellow Cab

“Where Transportation Leaders Collaborate for Success.”
Those words capture what Mobilize is all about. Our industry is changing quickly, and Mobilize gives us the opportunity to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and fi nd practical solutions we can take back to our businesses.
We are just weeks away from Mobilize 2026, October 26 through 28 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Anaheim, California. If you have not registered yet, I encourage you to make plans to join us.
This year’s program focuses on the issues transportation leaders are facing right now, including artifi cial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, insurance aff ordability, accident preparedness, driver mentoring, operational KPIs, public-sector contracting, and growing NEMT revenue. The goal is simple: useful information that can help improve operations, manage risk, strengthen teams, and create new opportunities.
For those arriving Monday, the TTA Foundation is presenting a Transportation Management Institute all-day program focused on Safety, Risk Management, and Claims Handling. The program requires a separate $100 ticket, available through the Mobilize registration form or by contacting info@thetransportationalliance.org.
Monday evening, all registered attendees are invited to our Welcome Reception at NOVA Kitchen & Bar. After the Welcome Reception, the TTA Foundation will host its “Under the California Stars” fundraiser at the RISE Rooftop Lounge at the Westin. This event requires a separate $200 ticket. Online, members can also bid for a chance to win a classic car or a registration to Mobilize 2027.
On Tuesday morning, we will host a New Member Meetup during breakfast, giving newer members an easy way to connect and get involved.
On the main stage, keynote speaker Garrison Wynn will present “Change Is Mandatory…Stress Is Optional,” focusing on leadership, communication, and managing change. Wednesday will feature Uber’s vision for the future of mobility, followed by a fi reside conversation on exit strategies with Bill George, Mitch Rouse, and Robbie Werth.
I also encourage everyone to spend time in the exhibit hall. Our exhibitors bring technology, services, and expertise that can help operators solve real business challenges. The hall will be open Tuesday, including during our exhibit reception, and again Wednesday. Be sure to collect raffl e tickets as you meet with exhibitors for the Rouse Raffl e at Wednesday’s hall closing.
Mobilize is also a time to recognize service to our industry. We will celebrate outstanding contributions, including presentation of the Ziggy Zilber Award to the Driver of the Year, and honor two titans of the industry whom we lost this year.
Our closing general session will include the TTA Annual Business Meeting and the leadership
transition to our next President, Bill George.
As my term as president comes to a close, I am proud of what our members have accomplished
together. TTA moves forward because members participate, serve, share their experience, and
stay engaged in the conversations that matter. That continued involvement will be just as
important in the years ahead.
Thank you to our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, volunteers, committee members, and staff for
making Mobilize possible.
I hope you will join us in Anaheim to learn, reconnect, and be part of the conversations shaping
what comes next for transportation.
William J. Rouse
