Looking Ahead to 2027: Bill George's Vision, GSD, & Membership Renewal

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Anaheim for Mobilize 2026 and our Annual Membership Meeting on October 27! If you couldn't attend, I wanted to share a few important updates, especially the vision our new TTA President, Bill George, outlined as we look ahead to 2027.
During the meeting, we recognized the accomplishments of outgoing President Bill Rouse, welcomed our newly elected Board of Directors, reviewed TTA's financial position, and approved our 2027 operating budget. We also heard updates from the TTA Foundation on its continued work in research, education, and charitable giving.
Looking Ahead to 2027: GSD
Incoming President Bill George shared his vision for the year ahead, built around a simple but powerful message: GSD, Get Shit Done!
Bill's leadership approach is built on action, accountability, and results. He wants TTA to be an organization that not only talks about the challenges facing our industry but actively works to solve them, creates meaningful business opportunities, and delivers measurable value to our members.
His five priorities for 2027 include:
Tort Reform: Strengthening advocacy efforts and addressing the rising legal and insurance costs impacting transportation operators.
Membership Growth: Launching a Member-Get-A-Member campaign, challenging every TTA member to bring at least one new member into the association.
More Business for Members: Expanding business development opportunities, including RFP resources and connections that help our members grow.
AV and AI Readiness: Preparing our industry for the opportunities and challenges presented by autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence.
Member Value, All Year: Increasing engagement, communication, and opportunities for members to connect and benefit from TTA throughout the year.
Bill also challenged members to "Pick one thing. Put your name on it. See it through."
That is the spirit of GSD. We have an ambitious agenda, but accomplishing these goals will require participation from our members, committees, and leadership.
2027 Membership Renewals Begin November 5
As we prepare for an exciting year ahead, please watch for your 2027 membership renewal notice, which will be sent on November 5.
We encourage everyone to renew their membership and remain part of the work we are doing to strengthen our industry. Your membership supports TTA's advocacy efforts, educational programming, business development opportunities, and the relationships that make our association valuable.
Help Us Grow TTA in 2027!
One of Bill's biggest priorities is membership growth, and we need your help!
We are asking every TTA member to identify at least one company or industry colleague who would benefit from joining our association. Whether it is a fellow fleet operator, an NEMT provider, a black car company, or an industry solution provider, your personal invitation can strengthen TTA's voice and expand opportunities for all our members.
Our formal Member-Get-A-Member campaign will launch in the first quarter of 2027, but we encourage you to start making those connections now.
Just imagine what we could accomplish if every current member brought one new company into TTA!
Stay Engaged and Be Part of What's Next
If you missed the meeting, I encourage you to review Bill George's 2027 Vision Presentation
to learn more about his priorities and TTA's direction. See below.
As we close out 2026, I want to thank each of you for your continued support and commitment to The Transportation Alliance. We have a great opportunity to build on our momentum, strengthen our membership, and deliver real results for our industry.
2027 is about getting involved, getting results, and, as Bill would say, GSD!
Thank you again for being part of TTA. We look forward to your continued membership and participation in the year ahead!
Best regards,
Elena Sierra
